Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-22
This Privacy Policy explains what information APIModule ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our API gateway service, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: username, optional email address, and a hashed password.
- Usage data: API request metadata such as model, token counts, timestamps, and aggregated usage statistics for billing and reliability.
- Payment data: top-up records are handled by our payment providers (Stripe or on-chain crypto payments); we do not store full card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, secure, and improve the service and to bill usage accurately.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and service changes.
- To detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
3. Prompt & Output Data
Prompts and completions are transmitted to the upstream model provider to generate responses. We do not use your prompts or outputs to train models, and we retain request content only transiently where required for delivery and abuse prevention, in line with upstream provider policies.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and browser local storage for preferences such as language and theme. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the upstream model providers (to serve your requests), payment processors (to complete top-ups), and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage logs are retained as long as needed for billing, support, and security, then deleted or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Security
We use TLS in transit, hashed passwords at rest, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Changes & Contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on the service. Questions: support@apimodule.dev
